Believe it or not, La Revancha Del Tango is 10 years old!<\/p>\n
To celebrate this anniversary, Gotan Project decided to re-vamp their classic album in a Cumbia way, and asked their favorite Nueva Cumbia producers to reinterpret their music.<\/p>\n

\nIn 2001, in a Paris home-studio, Gotan Project experimented with a sound that would come to rock the music world. La Revancha del Tango became an instant classic and was soon emulated. Amongst the successors were nueva cumbia artists who, even more than the Nuevo tango avatars, became prominent with their Botoxed basses and mutated voices, the worthy successors of this retro-futuristic alchemy.

\nIn 2011, the clocks are set on La Revancha en Cumbia, a bunch of bootleggers who knead the sounds of the dense Argentinian tradition and break them down in their big mix: Tremor, Bomba Est\u00e9reo, Chancha Via Circuito, King Coya, El Remolon, Fauna, Axel Krygier, Frikstailers and El Hijo de la Cumbia. This rowdy crowd has been spreading havoc around the Buenos Aires nightclubs with its broken rhythms, creating its own version of the tracks from La Revancha del Tango.<\/p>\n
