Watch a special live concert recorded by Arte Concert at Institut du Monde Arabe
Summer is over and you are feeling down? Do you see the days getting shorter? Then you’ve come to the right place: David Walters’ music is worth all the vitamin D in the world! Infused with Creole music, Afrobeat and electro, the artist’s compositions are bursting with energy.
Like his music, David Walters’ heart swings between Europe and the West Indies: his mother comes from Martinique, his father from Saint-Kitts-and-Nevis, he grew up in Paris, spent many vacations in the Caribbean and now lives in Marseille. Thus shaped by his family and his professional career, the artist draws his inspiration as much from Creole and African cultures as from electronic music. By drawing the thread of his origins, David Walters invites us to discover sunny compositions full of groove.
It was at the very beginning of 2020 that David Walters released his fourth album. We find in this opus recorded in New York and baptized Soleil Kréyol all that makes the style of this “globe-singer”. We take advantage of the Flying Concerts to travel alongside him for a while.
Concert captured on September 21, 2021 at the Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris.
